Abstract In an unreplicated test, high air temperatures at night reduced corn ( Zea mays L.) yield about 40%, wheat ( Triticum aestivum L.) yield almost 50%, and soybean ( Glycine max L. Merr.) yield about 10% as compared with yields of crops growing at cool night temperatures.
