Objectives: There has been controversy about the association between menopause and quality of life (QoL). Determinants of QoL adult women and non-hormonal modulators of QoL are not well understood. The objective of this study is to investigate to which extent diverse mental and physical symptoms are associated with (a) menopausal status, (b) concurrent socio-demographic, psychosocial and life-style factors, and (c) the use of menopausal hormone therapy (MHT).
