This working paper presents three falsifiable experimental proposals derived from a systematic critical review of consciousness science (companion paper: Oliva, 2026a). Each proposal targets a specific, unaddressed gap at the intersection of brain biomineralization, quantum biology, and established neural correlates of consciousness — gaps that have remained open for 2 to 22 years despite being technically accessible with current methodology. Proposal 1 (two-stage design): An in-vivo QSM study in living patients with disorders of consciousness undergoing deep brain stimulation, correlated with intraoperative CM/Pf thalamic firing patterns, followed by post-mortem SQUID magnetometry in tissue from the same clinical population to distinguish total iron load from biogenic magnetite concentration. Proposal 2: Direct measurement of piezoelectric response in human pineal calcite using Piezoresponse Force Microscopy (PFM), correlated with RS1 expression and connexin-36 density — testing a 22-year-old hypothesis that has never been empirically addressed. Proposal 3: Measurement of regional brain magnetite state in rats at the moment of anesthetic-induced unconsciousness, comparing standard isoflurane with epothilone B pre-treatment (a microtubule-stabilizing drug that delays loss of consciousness by ~69 seconds). The proposals are designed to be technically feasible with existing infrastructure, independently meaningful regardless of outcome (positive or null), and interpretable within current theoretical frameworks of consciousness. Laboratory partners with relevant infrastructure are identified for each proposal. This is the second of two documents.
