Abstract Economics and Development Studies examine how nations improve their economic conditions and enhance the quality of life of their citizens. Development is not limited to economic growth but includes improvements in education, healthcare, employment, social equality, and environmental sustainability. This research paper analyzes the relationship between economic development and social progress, focusing on developing economies. It discusses various theories of development, factors influencing economic growth, and the role of government policies in promoting inclusive development. The study also highlights challenges such as poverty, unemployment, inequality, and environmental degradation. Using secondary data sources, this paper evaluates development strategies adopted by different countries and provides policy recommendations for sustainable and inclusive development.
