CONSOLIDATION NOTE (T279). ZERO new claims. Records one structural observation: T234's sub-theorem S3 and the Leech elevation's Cor-Q2, reduced to representation-theoretic form, are the SAME open problem — whether a given Z3 is the center Z (SU (3) ) = Z3 of the same SU (3) factor in E8 -> SU (3) x E6. Consequence: a single proof (and a single external-mathematics obligation, Barbasch-Wong) serves both the T234 neutrino-flavour bridge and the T274/T278 Leech elevation. Makes NO progress on solving the shared question. Corrects a prior characterisation: the Z3-unification is NOT purely internal to PUH — it needs external Dirac-cohomology mathematics. Tags: ESTABLISHED-PUH / EXTERNAL-MATH / OPEN / NOT CLAIMED. === DESCRIPTION (abstract) === Photonic Universe Hypothesis (PUH) — Consolidation Note (pattern of T276; zero new claims). THE OBSERVATION: two PUH open problems, developed in unconnected threads, are the same question when reduced to representation theory. PROBLEM 1 — T234's S3. T234 conjectures that neutrino reflection off the forming Planck Shell (C30 = c* Casimir leaf, T156) imparts a Z3 flavour phase, giving a VASCO direct-collapse signature. It is not derived; three sub-theorems are open. S3, verbatim: "the reflection Z3 and the Koide Z3 are the same Z3" — the reflection-induced Z3 must be the same cyclic subgroup as the T155v2 sector-phase (Koide) Z3, or no flavour rotation is predicted. The archive's KKS reformulation sharpens S3: the Z3 phase is in the center Z (SU (3) ) = Z3 of the SU (3) factor, the same Z3 producing the T155v2 offsets via SU (3) colour Clebsch-Gordan. So S3 asks: is the reflection Z3 the CENTER of the E8 -> SU (3) x E6 branching SU (3)? PROBLEM 2 — the Leech elevation's Cor-Q2. Elevating T274's Monster selection principle (via T278) reduces to a chain; its Link 2, Cor-Q2, asks whether PUH's Z3 that contacts the Okubo/Eisenstein A2 (Corradetti arXiv: 2605. 09333; Okubo SU (3) and octonion SU (3) inequivalent in Spin (8), Marrani-Corradetti-Zucconi arXiv: 2309. 17435) is one with PUH's other Z3's. T278 disambiguated the candidate to SU (3) ₜriality (not SU (3) colour). Reduced: is PUH's branching/triality Z3 the CENTER of the same SU (3) factor carrying the Eisenstein/A2 structure? THE IDENTIFICATION: both reduce to one claim — is a given Z3 the center Z (SU (3) ) = Z3 of the SAME SU (3) factor of E8 -> SU (3) x E6? (T154 fixes PUH's branching SU (3) as the A2 factor; T155v2/T211 place the Koide/colour structure in the same branching. ) S3 asks it of the reflection-geometry Z3; Cor-Q2 asks it of the Okubo/Eisenstein Z3. Same SU (3), same center, same question — two physical costumes (neutrino reflection; Leech construction). NOT a claim the answer is yes; the observation is that the two OPEN problems are ONE. THE CONSEQUENCE: (a) a single resolution establishes/falsifies S3 (and T234's conditional VASCO anomalous-flavour prediction) AND advances/blocks the T278 Leech elevation's Link 2 — two frontiers, one calculation. (b) The external-mathematics obligation is shared: the KKS note already reduced S3 to intermediate calculations IC-1. . IC-4 addressable by Barbasch-Wong 2026 (Dirac series for complex E8, arXiv: 2305. 03254) ; the same machinery bears on Cor-Q2. (c) CORRECTION: this shared question is NOT purely internal to PUH — both S3 and Cor-Q2 need external Dirac-cohomology mathematics, correcting a prior "internally attackable" characterisation. NOT CLAIMED: that S3 is true; that Cor-Q2 is true; that the Z3's ARE unified (that is the open question) ; that PUH derives the VASCO anomaly or the Leech lattice; that any IC is executed; or that this note makes progress toward SOLVING the shared question. It identifies that two open problems are one; it does not solve the one. Diagram: T234 S3 │ ▼reflection Z₃ │ ▼Is it Z (SU (3) )? ▲ │branching SU (3) │ ▼Cor-Q2 │ ▼Okubo τ │ ▼Leech elevation
