He teaches in the degrees of Exercise and Sports Science and Clinical Exercise Physiology and is an accredited exercise physiologist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia. His research focuses on the management of chronic diseases such as heart failure and type II diabetes through isometric handgrip exercise and high intensity interval training.
