Zamaneh Kassiri is a Professor in the Department of Physiology at the University of Alberta. She holds a Canada Research Chair in Cardiovascular Extracellular Matrix and serves as Associate Chair for the Graduate Program. Her research examines the mechanisms of extracellular matrix remodeling in cardiac and vascular diseases using animal models and cellular studies.
