We presented a case of disseminated blastomycosis in an immunocompetent host, detailing the disease's clinical course, the challenges of diagnosis, and the therapeutic management. A systematic review of the literature further clarified the epidemiological patterns, clinical manifestations, diagnostic criteria, and treatment strategies for blastomycosis. This report highlighted the importance of heightened clinical suspicion among physicians in non-endemic regions, to enable prompt diagnosis and mitigate the risks of adverse outcomes associated with delayed recognition.
