Background: Social interaction makes it difficult for autistic children to have social relations with their environment. In this case, the family, which is the closest environment and the first place for children in providing the basis for the formation of behaviour, attitudes, and education, has an important role in dealing with the problems faced by autistic children because of their ability to social interaction is very minimal. Support from the family is needed to stimulate the development of social skills of autistic children to live their daily lives. This study aims to provide an overview of the influence of family social support on the social interaction skills of autistic children in SLB Surakarta. Method: This research is quantitative research with a cross-sectional research design. The sampling technique in this study was cluster sampling, and the number of samples used was 36 respondents. The collected data will be analysed univariately and bivariately. The hypothesis test used is Kendall’s Tau. Result: The results of Kendall’s Tau statistical test analysis show a ρ value of 0.015 or (ρ ≤ 0.05), a correlation coefficient value of 0.381 in the weak category, and the direction of the correlation is positive. Conclusion: Family social support influences the social interaction skills of autistic children in SLB Surakarta.
