Vocabulary cards are one of the innovative approaches used to improve elementary school students' writing skills. This medium is designed to help students learn, understand, and use new vocabulary contextually, thereby supporting the development of their writing abilities. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of vocabulary cards in enhancing the writing skills of elementary students. The method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR), with data sourced from Google Scholar, using a descriptive qualitative approach. The literature search was conducted in three stages: starting with the keyword "vocabulary" (25,500 documents), followed by "writing skills" (8,720 documents), and finally "in elementary school," which filtered the results down to 141 documents. After applying inclusion criteria, 7 articles were selected for further analysis. The results indicate that vocabulary cards are effective in improving students’ vocabulary mastery and have a positive impact on their writing skills. Moreover, this medium fosters an interactive and enjoyable learning environment, motivating students to be more actively engaged in the learning process. The study concludes that vocabulary cards significantly contribute to the improvement of elementary students’ writing and speaking skills. As an implication, this medium can serve as an effective solution for teachers in teaching writing at the elementary level.
