Abstract

Education is a field that has faced significant challenges during the emergence of the coronavirus. The most fundamental of these has been the transition from face-to-face teaching to online education. This study aims to investigate the associations between teachers" perceptions of their effectiveness, their ability to manage digital instruments during distance education, student response, and teacher-student co-existence. The sample of this study consisted of 75 teachers working in secondary education. The instrument for data collection was an improvised questionnaire, which tried to investigate the above variables in conjunction with some demographic characteristics and was distributed digitally. The statistical criteria which were chosen were Pearson Correlation, T-test for independent samples, one way-ANOVA and Multiple Linear Regression. The main results highlighted by this study were that perceptions of effectiveness are influenced by the other variables and that work experience play a significant role in teachers" beliefs.
