The aim of the article is to attempt to show the role of education for safety in the process of educating future generations. The author of the article presented the history of changes in the development of the approach to undertaking activities related to education in this area. She also tried to present the current content of education in the subject of education for safety, to draw attention to the direction in which this education is organized. The article is also to make one aware of the role and essence of the subject of education for safety as a challenge in the process of education for the future.
