The article is devoted to the study of a “localfocus” Telegram channel, designed for a narrow audience of a small town in the Urals. The study is carried out in line with the discursive-stylistic approach. The key concept is the subject position, which is structured by discursive practices of topics selection and stylistic design of content. The analysis describes the visual and verbal components of the publication and their semantic relationship. Discursive practices of topic selection overcome the format gap between the qualitative and tabloid segments of traditional mediadiscourse. Discursive practices of stylistic design are aimed to simulate dialogue at the syntactic and lexical levels. The subject position of the analyzed channel contributes to the construction of local identification of readers. The study was conducted on the material of publications of the Telegram channel of a small Ural city for 2023–2024.
