In our country, many old buildings have slowly become weaker because of bad weather and natural wear and tear. Using these unsafe structures can be very risky for the people living there, as they are no longer strong or safe. That’s why it’s important to check the condition of these buildings through a structural audit. This check up can help make the buildings last longer and safer for everyone inside. Usually, when a building is about twenty-five years old, the local authority has to officially ask for a structural audit. This paper explains different ways to check for problems in buildings and suggests fixes to stop more damage. It also includes a real-life example of how this was done.
