Terrorism is a leading security threat in the modern era, particularly religiously motivated ethno-separatist terrorism, which is evident in contemporary conflicts in Ukraine and the Middle East. Intelligence work and the analytical sector in intelligence agencies play a significant role in the fight against terrorism. It is crucial to obtain data that can indicate terrorist operational frameworks, spatial distribution, methods of operation, and potential targets. Practice has shown that the data collection process often focuses on covert collection and intelligence data, while information from public and easily accessible sources is often neglected. Given that modern lifestyle and technological advancements make this possible, attention must be drawn to the opportunities provided by such data sources, especially in the fight against terrorism. This paper specifically addresses scientific databases and OSINT data (data available from public sources).
