Subject. This article discusses the issues of improving the quality of electricity transmission services and optimizing tariffs and prices. Objectives. The article aims to assess the quality of digital technology use by Russian electric grid companies in the tariff-setting process. Methods. For the study, I used the logical and statistical analyses methods. Results. The article finds that the use of digital technologies in the electricity sector help simplify the processes of submitting tariff applications by the regulated organization and preparing expert conclusions by the regulatory authority. Conclusions. Further digitalization can help improve the quality and transparency of the tariff formation process in the electric-power sector.
