Lower Prut region covers around 15000 ha and includes in itself biosphere reserve „Lower Prut”. Actual social and economic development is associated with large use of nutrients indifferent sectors of local economy. Recent study allowed to identify concentrations of the biogenies elements indifferent parts of functional zones and allowed calculate nitrogen and phosphor loads on environment in the region.
