The paper deals with the delicate and ever more present theme of climate change. Comparative analysis of the main judicial experiences in this field shows a tendency towards bridging the difficulties associated with the inadequate scientific and technical knowledge available today by resorting to the transplants of judicial models. This, together with the global nature of the phenomenon of climate change, seems to favour the birth of common principles and rules, but establishing a global law is hindered by the peculiarities of the single judicial systems which have to be addressed in order to enact make such principles and rules.
