Abstract

This article analyzes the historical-genealogical and gnoseological relationship between the category of adjectives and nouns in the Uzbek language. The primary function of adjectives – to identify and express the attributes of nouns – determines their role within the linguistic structure. The study examines the formation of adjective-forming affix paradigms and their semantic and functional proximity to noun-forming morphemes. This research aims to reveal the linguistic connections between adjectives and nouns through an indepth analysis of their morphology and semantics
