As more people live in cities, urban biodiversity faces growing pressure. This study examines categories influencing the implementation of biodiversity-friendly measures in urban green space management. Findings show limitations due to constraints in staff capacity, financial resources, and technical barriers. Public acceptance presents both challenges and opportunities. The study highlights the crucial role of political prioritization and effective communication in strengthening biodiversity. This typical-case analysis identifies key categories that influence political, technical, and strategic dimensions of urban green space management. It offers practical recommendations for policy makers, urban planners, and environmental managers to improve biodiversity outcomes within urban environments.
