Effects of Dietary Supplement Action of Juniper on Productive Performance and some Physiological Parameters of Broiler un-der Stocking Density and Heat Stress.

This study examined the effects of adding Juniper’s communis to broiler diets under the influence of stocking density and heat stress on production performance, several physiological parameters, Dressing percentage, antioxidant, 480-day-old chicks of (Ross 308 unsexed chicks, one day old). The chicks were housed for 35 days. The experimental group’s treatments were as the following T1: negative control (a normal condition with standard diets and stocking density 12 birds/m, T2: heat stress with standard diets and stocking density 12 birds/m2, T3: heat stress with standard diets and stocking density 15 birds/m2, T4, T5 and T6 ( included heat stress with stocking density 12birds/m2, diets with addition juniper plant 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, respectively), T7, T8 and T9 (included heat stress with stocking density 15 birds/m2, diets with addition juniper plant 0.5%, 1%, 1.5%, respectively. The productive performance and antioxidant activity were determined. The negative control showed a significant increase in live body weight, body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion ratio, and production index. 0.5% juniper low-density improved dressing percentage and mortality. Juniper has an antioxidant role in the broiler diet.
