This article examines the impact of tax-in-kind on the economic condition of collective farm peasants in Altai Krai during the Great Patriotic War. The study explores key trends in state policy related to in-kind taxation, the mechanisms used by the government to regulate it, and analyzes the capacity of kolkhoz peasants to fulfill their tax obligations in kind.
