This paper examines the changing role of university libraries, specifically the Federal University Dutse (FUD) Library, in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation. Once seen merely as stores of knowledge, libraries have evolved into vibrant centers that drive economic development, especially in promoting entrepreneurial activities. In light of Nigeria’s significant unemployment rates among university graduates, this paper investigates the initiatives of the Federal University, Dutse's Library and its partnership with the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (CEED) in nurturing entrepreneurial skills. Since its inception in 2014, CEED has been instrumental in providing education, training, and skill development across various fields, with active participation from library staff. By offering workshops, mentorship programmes, access to resources, and technological support, the FUD Library has taken on a vital role in encouraging self-sufficiency and innovation among students. Furthermore, collaborations with American Corners have enhanced these entrepreneurial initiatives, providing networking opportunities and exposure to global best practices. The paper also addresses the obstacles Nigerian graduates encounter in developing entrepreneurial skills due to deficiencies in traditional academic programmes, emphasizing how libraries can fill these gaps by equipping individuals with the essential tools for business development and innovation. In this way, the FUD Library is establishing itself as a key player in promoting socio-economic advancement, illustrating how university libraries can help tackle unemployment and nurture a new wave of entrepreneurs in Nigeria.
