AKI leads to extended hospital stays, increases mortality rates, and often necessitates nephrology consultations. Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) plays a central role in managing AKI, requiring a multidisciplinary approach involving nephrologists, intensivists, and anesthesiologists.
