We applied microfracture vector scanning (VS, i.e., migration of 3D vector) for microseismic monitoring of 2 wells, using direct transverse wave and on surface, for the fracturing layers of the vertical depths of 6550m and 6691m on 11/9/2023 and 4/16/2024, respectively. The detection purpose is to evaluate fracturing effect, and study the feasibility of applying VS on surface to monitor the microseismic of ultra-deep fracturing. We tried our best to meet the necessary conditions, for VS to improve the signal-to-noise ratio (S/N), applied in the data acquisition, denoising, migration, and reasonable interpretation of the output energy distribution. We believe that the 2 detections are much better than expected, and the microseismic monitoring of VS on surface for ultra-deep wells is likely to be feasible.
