New legislation would establish residential benefit under Medicare

Newly introduced legislation in both houses of Congress would fill the only remaining gap in Medicare level‐of‐care coverage for substance use treatment services. The Residential Recovery for Seniors Act would establish a new benefit under Medicare Part A that would cover non‐hospital residential treatment for older adults and persons with disabilities.
