The considered pedagogical practice presents the practical application of knowledge and skills acquired from participation in a qualification course on the topic: ‘Art as therapy self-expression and special needs in art education’. The course is part of the activities of the Project ‘Mission awakener-teacher of the new time’, included in the European program ‘Erasmus+’ .The report describes a pedagogical experience for creating conditions for the expression of children creative and emotional skills both in kindergarten and in a family environment. For this purpose, various art techniques and ideas for using art – therapy exercises leading to the formation and development of emotional intelligence in preschool children are offered.
