The criminal law policy of the State determined the expansion of the competence (jurisdiction) of criminal cases to military courts, including by supplementing the subject jurisdiction with such a category of cases where the purpose of criminal encroachment is propaganda, justification and support of terrorism. The article considers the expediency of maintaining the current wording of paragraph 4 of part six of Article 31 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation and paragraph “r” of part one of Article 63 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
