This article presents an analysis and trends in the development of modern online trading platforms/marketplaces (Wildberries, Ozon, Yandex.Market, etc.), reveals the ad-vantages of using marketplaces in product promotion, and also justifies the need for organizations to enter these trading plat-forms in order to maintain their competitive-ness, including in the off-line market. Mar-ketplaces have gained particular popularity in recent years, attracting more and more people to their marketplaces, which serves as a beneficial ground for using online mar-ketplaces not only as sales channels, but also as promotion channels.
