Background: Most of the cases of diarrhoea recover with rehydration only and do not require antibiotic therapy.Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS), introduced by WHO, is the single most important measure in the management of acute diarrhoea due to all aetiologies and in all age groups across the globe.To determine the Knowledge and Practices of ORS usage among mothers of children less than 6 years of age.Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among all mothers of children 25% were purchasing it themselves.Conclusion: Poor knowledge and practices regarding ORS use is a matter of concern.IEC activities and behavioural change communication are strongly advocated regarding ORS use.
