The purpose of this study is to elucidate the relationship between university Taekwondo athletes" perceived transformational leadership of coaches, team cohesion, and athletic performance. To achieve the objective of the study, data from 200 university taekwondo athletes were collected and analyzed. Data processing was conducted using the SPSS 27 program through frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis to obtain the following results. First, among the subfactors of transformational leadership, charisma, individualized care, and intellectual stimulation all significantly affected team cohesion. Second, individualized care and intellectual stimulation, subfactors of transformational leadership, significantly affected athletic performance. Third, team cohesion was found to significantly affect athletic performance. Therefore, it can be concluded that the transformational leadership of taekwondo coaches plays an important role for athletes, and based on this, strengthening transformational leadership training for taekwondo coaches could help improve athletes" team cohesion and athletic performance.
