In an agricultural nation like India, agriculture plays a crucial role in development. The country's development has always been hampered by agricultural issues. By modernizing the current, conventional farming practices, smart agriculture is the only solution to this issue. As an outcome, the proposed strategy seeks to combine loT and automation to transform agriculture smarter. The Internet of Things (loT) makes it feasible to monitor and choose crops for growth, support irrigation making decisions, and use other applications. An lOT -based Raspberry Pi-based self-sustaining irrigation system has been suggested to modernize and increase crop output. In order to focus on supplying water to plants at the appropriate moment, the main goal of this procedure is crop development that requires minimal water consumption; as a result, most farmers squander an immense amount of time in the fields. It is important to establish a system for managing water that is efficient while simultaneously minimizing the system's circuit complexities. The proposed system estimated the necessary amount of water by considering data that was obtained from the equipment's sensors. The temperature, humidity and degree of daily daylight received by the soil are all sent to the base unit using two sensors.
