This article will explore the comparison of Chinese and Western cultures, especially the significance of exploring the origins of cultural differences in ideological and political education, and propose a teaching path for ideological and political education in universities that integrates the comparison of Chinese and Western cultures, including teaching content design, teaching methods and means, as well as evaluation and feedback mechanisms.
