With its unparalleled connectivity and convenience, Internet of Things (IoT) gadgets have changed a number of industries with their rapid growth. However, because IoT devices are frequently deployed with insufficient security safeguards, leaving them exposed to cyberattacks, this growth has also brought up serious security challenges. In order to provide insights into risk mitigation and improving the safety record of IoT ecosystems, this paper examines the security issues, difficulties, and potential solutions related to IoT devices.IoT devices' inherent vulnerability to cyberattacks is one of the main security issues they present because of things like their constrained processing capacity, the absence of established security standards, and their varied deployment scenarios.Attackers can use IoT device vulnerabilities to execute a variety of assaults, such as device hijacking, distributed denial-of-attacks, and data breaches. Moreover, security oversight and enforcement face particular difficulties because to the vastness and diversity of IoT networks. The IoT landscape is becoming more challenging to manage security concerns due to the billions of connected devices across many sectors like transportation, healthcare, and smart cities. IoT environments are dynamic and distributed, making traditional security methods unable to handle them.
