However, during the feedback round, the combo group required significantly less feedback as compared to the verbal and visual groups before achieving correct retraction technique (p<0.001, p=0.013; Fig. 1D). The combo group also required significantly less feedback as compared to the verbal group before achieving correct cinching technique (p=0.006, Fig. 1E). Finally, participants in the visual and combo groups asked for feedback clarification significantly less than participants in the verbal group (p=0.004, p=0.00; Fig. 1F). CONCLUSIONS: Intraoperative feedback, regardless of type, leads to marked improvement in correct technique. Additionally, a combination of visual and verbal feedback facilitates more efficient learning than verbal or visual feedback alone.
