Family and Law as the Basis of a Contemporary State (on the Example of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam)

The article is devoted to family and law issues on the example of Russia and Vietnam. The shortcomings and limitations of the Vietnamese Law on Marriage and Family, which impede the sustainable development of the family institution, are analyzed. In order to preserve traditional cultural and family values, these problems must be resolved as soon as possible. The authors not only revealed the current problems related to surrogacy and marriage with foreigners, but also suggested ways to solve them; studied the mechanism for resolving disputes related to the use of assisted reproductive technologies, etc. The analysis of problems necessitated the revision of legislation, which will strengthen the protection of human rights, eliminate existing shortcomings in law enforcement practice, preserve traditional values.
