Abstract

GitLab 1 has been used at CERN to support our users in hosting their code and automating tasks to facilitate continuous integration and deployment using generic Docker Machine virtual machines.” This paper describes our efforts to migrate from the old infrastructure, which served us well for several years, to a more efficient approach using Kubernetes clusters that allow us to scale faster, maintain the infrastructure ensuring uptime and customize the GitLab runners to our user needs.
