The successful implementation of business process automation (BPA) through modern business process management (BPM) tools requires a comprehensive approach. This involves analyzing the existing business processes to identify inefficiencies and potential areas for improvement. Additionally, it entails designing optimized processes aligned with the company's overarching business strategy. Utilizing BPM tools for business process automation becomes imperative to enhance efficiency, minimize errors, and elevate overall company performance. Therefore, this paper aims to examine the role of the BPM tool Bonita software in achieving business process semi-automation and optimization, specifically in production planning processes in a mid-sized manufacturing company in Serbia.
