The purpose of this study is to analyze the financial aspects of the functioning of the compulsory health insurance system in modern conditions characterized by significant economic, territorial, structural changes, etc. The dynamics of the main parameters of the budget of the Federal Compulsory Health Insurance Fund is assessed, including from the point of view of the financial stability of the compulsory health insurance system. The analysis of the ratio of budget expenditures of the Federal Compulsory Health Insurance Fund and subventions allocated to territorial funds, with an emphasis on the growth rates of indicators, etc. Additional areas of use of funds corresponding to the new challenges facing the compulsory health insurance system are evaluated.
