The work aims to design a rocket of a certain length that can hit the target of 50 meters. Several designs were made in this work to meet the requirement of work. The first design had Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) as the body of rocket, which failed due to the lack of thrust supplied compared to the required thrust by 90 cm pipe of PVC. The second design included cardboard as the body of rocket, which is considered to be half of mass of PVC pipe. In this design, the size of the engine was changed as well, the engine was adjusted at the exhaust of rocket. So, the engine diameter was reduced from 1.25 inches to 1.0 inch. The second design also failed, the reason for this failure was lack of relatability between the engine and body of rocket which was made of cardboard. The final design of prototype was made using water plastic bottles, which provides much lesser weight than first two designs. This design finally works because of efficient thrust and proper fins design and mass of body tube. The study was done using OpenRocket software.
