This paper presents a straightforward method for reconfiguring circular polarization of a square patch antenna using diagonal slots with strips upon the slots. The proposed antenna is intended to operate at the center frequency of around 915 MHz and deployed on an FR4 epoxy dielectric substrate. The square patch antenna utilizes two diagonal slots, forming a cross-shaped slot. To generate circular polarization, strips which act as switches are incorporated into each diagonal slot, altering the circular polarization. Simulations and measurements are conducted to characterize and assess the antenna performance in producing two selectable circular polarizations, namely Right-Hand Circular Polarization (RHCP) and Left-Hand Circular Polarization (LHCP). The characterization result could achieve the desirable 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth, in which the antenna exhibited a single round polarization's unidirectional radiation pattern.
