The article examines the impact of the digitalization of foreign economic activity on enhancing the efficiency of international trade. The main focus is on the analysis of Single Window platforms as a strategic instrument for optimizing customs procedures, reducing administrative barriers, and integrating national economies into global production and logistics systems. The aim of the study is to conduct a comparative analysis of international practices in implementing Single Window platforms and to identify opportunities for adapting these solutions to develop Ukraine’s foreign economic infrastructure under conditions of transformational changes and increasing global challenges. The study employs a comprehensive approach that combines elements of comparative analysis, institutional theory, a systemic view of the digital transformation of foreign economic activity, and cost-benefit analysis to justify the economic effectiveness of digital solutions in customs administration. It is established that the effectiveness of Single Window platforms is ensured through the integration of interagency information systems, standardization of procedures, extensive use of analytical technologies, and active involvement of the private sector. The experience of the United States, South Korea, Poland, Japan, and Germany demonstrates a significant improvement in the speed and quality of foreign trade operations. The study assesses the potential benefits for Ukraine’s economy from the implementation of similar approaches, taking into account existing institutional capacities and infrastructure limitations. The research substantiates the necessity of modernizing current customs administration mechanisms, increasing the level of digital integration, and accelerating the reform of foreign trade infrastructure. It outlines key areas for digital transformation aimed at reducing transaction costs for businesses, increasing procedural transparency, and strengthening Ukraine’s position in global trade. The introduction of a modern Single Window platform is considered a critical factor in improving the economic efficiency of Ukraine’s foreign economic activity, creating conditions for boosting exports, attracting investment, and forming an innovation-driven trade ecosystem. Future research should focus on developing specific financing models for digital solutions and mechanisms for their adaptation to Ukrainian conditions.
