Framing, speech strategies and tactics previously used in journalism have been successfully applied in political discourse. Journalists covering the presidential campaign during the electoral period strive to adhere to the principles of freedom of speech. At the same time, taking into account the fact that the speeches of the primaries are published later on news sites and are analyzed by both opponents and the electorate, it is necessary to use the tools of persuasive communication. Framing, speech strategies and tactics are used to make political discourse more vivid and attractive, as well as to endow it with manipulative properties, which allow voters to remember quotes from the political text of a candidate as positive associates of their election program. The speech strategies of US politicians include strategies to enhance image and deform image, "theatrical speeches", as well as conceptual metaphors (acting as a framing of American political discourse. The article examines the linguistic features of the construction of political texts and key conceptual phrases of the American politician Donald Trump.
