This study investigates the relationships between consumers’ characteristics and information privacy concerns. The findings reveal that people with online shopping experience are more tolerant in the Internal and External Unauthorized Use of personal information and less concerned with the possibility of misuse of credit card numbers. The study shows that age is positively correlated with the concerns of misuse of credit card numbers among those who have no online shopping experience. Female respondents are more concerned with the Internal Unauthorized Use of personal information and the possible misuse of credit card information than are male respondents.
