This study evaluates the impact of Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and Total Quality Management (TQM) processes on cost efficiency throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. The research compares cost deviations, defect rates, rework frequency, and productivity indicators between structural works and architectural works. The findings demonstrate that applying systematic QA/QC procedures significantly reduces rework costs, shortens construction schedules, and improves overall project performance. The study also highlights the critical role of material inspections, method statements, ITPs, and quality documentation in minimizing the cost of poor quality (COPQ). Results show that structured TQM practices contribute directly to financial efficiency and resource optimization in medium- and large-scale construction projects.
