This study examines the impact of training and career development on employee performance, with work motivation serving as an intervening variable at the Ministry of Social Affairs. A quantitative research design was employed, with a sample of 204 employees from the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Social Affairs. Data analysis was conducted using Smart PLS version 4. The findings demonstrate that training has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, while career development also significantly influences employee performance. Both training and career development positively affect work motivation, which in turn has a significant positive impact on employee performance. Additionally, the results show that both training and career development enhance employee performance through work motivation. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating training and career development programs to boost work motivation, which ultimately leads to improved employee performance. Organizations are encouraged to prioritize the design and implementation of targeted training programs and career development pathways to foster employee growth, motivation, and performance.
