Indusfood, considered one of the world's largest food fairs, brought together the business world for the ninth time in January 2026 in New Delhi. The event, featuring pavilions from countries across the globe, also included a panel discussion. Türkiye was represented by a delegation of 30 participants organized by the BeTa Science Association. This study is one of the presentations given at that panel. The study statistically analyzes the foreign trade between Türkiye and India, evaluating trade between the two countries using foreign trade indices. Opportunities and threats facing both countries, particularly in the food industry, are discussed, and conclusions are drawn for the future. The study concludes that political factors, climate issues, and problems related to trust and mutual understanding in the business world are the top three hindering factors. Considering the foreign trade indices of the two countries, it was emphasized that a foreign trade volume of approximately 10 billion dollars (based on 2024 data ) should be developed, that a balanced trade approach should focus on complementary investments rather than competition, and that increasing culture-based initiatives is of great importance.
