This publication describes a clinical case of subacute myocarditis resulting in heart failure following a non-severe community-acquired pneumonia, but does not provide statistical clinical trial data.
Case Report (n=1)
Non-severe community-acquired pneumonia can be complicated by subacute myocarditis and subsequent heart failure with reduced ejection fraction in young patients.
The paper presents a case of development of a subacute moderate severity myocarditis in a law enforcement employee – a young man – after a non-severe community-acquired pneumonia. The myocarditis proceeded with developing heart failure and decrease in the myocardium ejection fraction. The case ended in improvement of the patient’s condition with remaining symptoms of moderate heart failure requiring further therapy and rehabilitation

This publication describes a clinical case of subacute myocarditis resulting in heart failure following a non-severe community-acquired pneumonia, but does not provide statistical clinical trial data.
