The scad (Sardinella fimbriata) is a fish species commonly caught by fishermen at the Pasir Fish Landing Base, Kebumen Regency. This fish species has low economic value compared to other fish species. During the peak season, this fish species is often discarded or stockpiled. This fish species needs to be diversified to add value. This study aims to describe the fisheries conditions at the Pasir Fish Landing Base, calculate the catch per unit of effort, and determine the seasonal pattern of scad fishing at the Pasir Fish Landing Base, as well as its potential for development as a raw material for fishmeal for food products. The data used include fish production statistics, types of fishing gear, number of fishing trips, and the number of fishing vessels in Kebumen. Data analysis used descriptive analysis, decomposition analysis, and catch per unit of effort. The results show that scad production at the Pasir Fish Landing Base tends to increase in the 2019-2023 period. The catch per unit of effort value has increased. The fishing season occurs from June to December. This fish has sufficient capacity as a raw material for fishmeal for food products.
