The present paper deals with the analysis of cavansite and associated minerals from Wagholi quarry, Pune, India. For this purpose, various analytical techniques, i.e., X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), inductively coupled plasma–optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES), energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (EDXRF), Fourier-transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR), and Raman spectroscopy have been used. The associated minerals of cavansite were identified as heulandite, calcite, apophyllite, and stilbite. All the mineral structures were confirmed using XRD. The elemental analysis of these minerals revealed that cavansite was rich in vanadium, calcite is rich in calcium, while other associated minerals are rich in silicon, with several other elements at lower concentrations. The surface morphology of all these minerals have also been studied by FESEM and reported. Amalgamation of mineral composition, texture, and structural characteristics of a rock, and crystallization orders supported the demonstration of a multi-stage mineralization exemplary. Cavansite is found in crooked, lithe fissures that are frequently creased with zeolites corresponding to stilbite and heulandite. The development is credited to the basaltic magma currents that built the Deccan Traps.
